Thanks to new photos from cosplayer Olga Haku, in which she appears as Tav – a custom character – people have once again been able to visit the fascinating and fantasy world of the RPG Baldur’s Gate 3.
Cosplayer Olga Haku continues to explore the universe of the role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3. She has already appeared as the half-devil Mizora, the githyanki warrior Lae'zel, and the half-elf Shadowheart.
Now it has become known that during a photo shoot conducted by photographer Kira Mitenkova, model Olga transformed into Tav.
Tav is not a specific hero, but the default name for any custom character. When a gamer starts a new game and creates their unique character in the editor, they are assigned the name "Tav" until they enter another.
Over time, this name has become widely used by the gaming community as a general term for any custom hero, similar to how "Dovahkin" is used in Skyrim or "V" in Cyberpunk 2077.
The name "Tav" is a reference to the internal code name of the game at Larian Studios — "Project Gustav", which, in turn, was given in honor of Sven Vincke's dog, the head of the studio.
