According to recent reports, Steam Deck 2 is already in development and is attracting the attention of players awaiting a continuation of the successful project.
The release year was revealed by insider KeplerL2, known in the PC enthusiast community. On the NeoGAF forum, he briefly stated: «Steam Deck 2 will be released in 2028».
KeplerL2 has long been associated with leaks about AMD processors, which explains his awareness of the next Steam Deck — after all, AMD supplies components for Valve's portable console.
The company is taking a strategic approach to the project. They are in no hurry with the release, as development takes time, especially to ensure a real «next-gen» performance boost. If the plan is implemented, Steam Deck 2 in 2028 will once again set the standard for the portable PC market.
