Cronos: The New Dawn will be released in a few days on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. After the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, the Polish studio wants to prove that it is among the best horror developers. Appearing on Switch 2 will be the first step in a long-term collaboration with Nintendo.
In an interview with The Game Business, Piotr Babieno, head of Bloober Team, noted the special significance of the new console:
"I'm fulfilling my dreams. I'm a big fan of Nintendo. I grew up on their consoles. Classic horror games like Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4… were released on GameCube. It was a golden age for Nintendo fans. We want to be the studio that opens a new page for Nintendo."
Babieno emphasized that the release of Cronos: The New Dawn on Switch 2 is a conscious step to attract new players and begin long-term support for the platform. According to him, Nintendo Switch 2 could become a "home for horror."
Will Silent Hill 2 Remake, Layers of Fear, and other studio games be released on the console? It is not yet clear, but Babieno said:
"We have plans. We cannot reveal all the details yet, but Nintendo fans should keep an eye on Bloober Team."
