The authors of the Russian tactics Red Recon 1944 continue to talk about work processes. They showed one of the game models.
The developers explained that they spend a lot of time studying the environment of that time — reading chronicles, looking at photographs, looking for drawings, analyzing video materials, and going to the museum:
«Museums are the best help in following historical accuracy. For example, the heavy generator trailer Sd.Ah.24 described above was examined live at the Moscow Museum “Motors of War”. The photographs taken and informative comments from collector-restorers helped to recreate the object in the game in all its glory. But even if 3D modeling is not your forte, we still recommend visiting the exhibition.
