Helldivers 2 is one of the best PlayStation Studios games of the current generation, and now it can be enjoyed by Xbox Series X|S owners.
Figures from Alinea Analytics have emerged: in the first 2–3 days after the release of Helldivers 2 on Xbox, more than 600,000 copies were purchased. This is an impressive result for the project, even if the numbers seem modest compared to PlayStation and Steam.
The game became the first in Sony's history to be released on the Xbox platform. The day after the release, the president of Arrowhead reported 500,690 simultaneous players across all platforms. Steam accounted for about 160,000 of them, leaving approximately 340,000 on consoles, including many newcomers on Xbox.
It is especially inspiring that experienced players from PlayStation and PC are helping newcomers, despite the complexities of modern online environments with crossplay and "friendly fire."
According to Alinea Analytics, Helldivers 2 has sold over 12 million copies on Steam, 5 million on PlayStation, and 600,000 on Xbox. This confirms that players support high-quality projects regardless of the platform, and content is becoming more accessible to everyone.
