MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will receive a major expansion in early September. After the release of Clans, Piranha Games is returning to the game to develop the events of the universe.
The Shadow of Kerensky DLC will be released on September 3, 2025. The story takes players to 3050, at the time of the first clash with the Clans, who are launching an offensive towards Earth. Players will take on the role of mercenaries hired by the Republic of Rasalhague to stop the advance of an enemy with clear technological superiority.
The campaign includes 12 missions with cutscenes made using motion capture and a modern graphic style familiar from MW5: Clans.
The expansion brings 17 new biomes, the Bullshark mech in seven modifications, 16 Clan mech models with their unique technologies, and many other innovations. The full list of changes is published on the official project page at link.
