Recently, players noticed that Rockstar Games has removed the companion app for Red Dead Redemption 2 from the Google Play and App Store.
Rockstar Games Support acknowledged the removal of the RDR 2 app and noted that:
«Those who have previously downloaded the official Red Dead Redemption 2 app can access it from their Apple account purchase history.
In addition, players who have previously purchased the complete official Red Dead Redemption 2 guide in the app will be able to access it there».
There have long been rumors of a next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 being developed. It is assumed that the removal of the old application is part of the preparation for the launch of the re-release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
