While waiting for the announcement of an improved RDR 2, fans are looking for "signals" in various places.
Recently, players noticed that Rockstar Games removed the companion app for Red Dead Redemption 2 from the Google Play and App Store.
Rockstar Games Support acknowledged the removal of the RDR 2 app and noted that:
«Those who previously downloaded the official Red Dead Redemption 2 app can access it from their Apple account's purchase history.
In addition, players who previously purchased the complete official Red Dead Redemption 2 guide in the app will be able to access it there as well».
There have long been rumors of a next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 in development. It is assumed that the removal of the old app is part of the preparation for the launch of the re-release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
