Now you can clear maps in Vampire Survivors not only in local co-op.
Poncle has announced the start of the beta test for the Vampire Survivors update, which can be accessed through the game's properties in Steam. The ability to test the online mode has appeared.
The developer talked about the gameplay changes compared to the standard local cooperative playthrough:
- Group Leveling - Depending on the number of players, users will only see the "level up" screen after all players have leveled up. For example, when playing with 4 players, the level up screen will only appear every 4 levels.
- DLC - Add-ons can only be used online if all players have them.
- Free movement - In online mode, players are not limited to one screen and can move freely around the map independently of each other. However, if any player enters a boss room, the rest will be dragged into it.
- Observer Mode - If a player dies, they will be able to move to the remaining players: "You will also respawn in the same place as them if you are watching them."
- Achievements - At the end of the run, it will be possible to transfer any achievements earned in this playthrough to the save file.
- Acceleration - Disabled in online mode.
- Pause Menu - When a player pauses, it is not set for everyone else: "you just get a small window of invulnerability."
