Last year saw the release of an updated version of the zombie action game Dead Rising. However, Capcom used the infamous DRM protection Denuvo on the PC, which may have deterred some players.
In September 2025, gamers noticed that hackers had cracked Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. It turned out that Capcom's decision helped them — they removed Denuvo from the game and did not add an alternative advanced DRM solution.
