It seems Ubisoft now wants to create their own "Tarkov."
Insider Tom Henderson continues to share Ubisoft's plans. Recently, he decided to present the company's release schedule for the next two years.
It seems the company is now betting not on battle royales, but on "Escape from Tarkov-like" projects — games with Extraction mechanics.
List of games that Ubisoft may release in 2026-2027:
- Project Ovr — new Ghost Recon
- Project Hexe — new Assassin's Creed
- Project North — Splinter Cell remake
- Project Blackbird — new Far Cry
- Project Maverick — Far Cry franchise shooter with extraction mechanics. The insider has a "feeling" it might get canceled.
- Project Rewind — Prince of Persia remake
- Project Alterra — Animal Crossing-style game
- Project Crest — World War II shooter with extraction
- Project BG&E2 — Beyond Good and Evil 2
He also noted that the release dates for Project Obsidian (Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake) and Project Invictus (multiplayer Assassin's Creed) are yet to be determined. Tom claims they were previously planned for release by the end of 2025.
In addition, Ubisoft has a Rayman remake in the works.
