In early September, the authors of Cyberpunk 2077 published a strange teaser. CD Projekt RED presented an address by the president to the citizens of the New United States of America.
Some community members decided to take a closer look and found that a message was hidden in the picture. With the help of a hexadecimal editor, the following phrase was found in the image code:
«Check the recruitment link on September 4th at 16:00 Central European Summer Time».
The link was written in the format «http://cp2077.ly/wigvixQWK». Community members solved the Caesar cipher — after shifting the letters, it turned out to be «secretMSG».
The link now available leads to an image of a coin with Caesar.
There is an assumption that CDPR decided to arrange ARG activity (to conduct a game using the real world as a platform).
