The popular publishing practice continues to lead to incidents of new games being hacked before their full release.
Recently, owners of the premium edition of Cronos The New Dawn received early access to the game. The regular version is scheduled for release on September 5th.
However, there is a technical nuance: Bloober Team, the Polish developer, decided not to use the well-known Denuvo DRM protection for the new game, so hackers quickly got involved and cracked Cronos The New Dawn.
As a result, the game has joined the extensive list of projects with paid early access that have been hacked before their full release. Players have long criticized this approach to releasing new products, but some market participants continue to use the "double release" strategy for different editions.
