After the announcement of the release date of Hollow Knight Silksong (September 4), the authors of various projects began to postpone the release of their games in order not to clash with the Team Cherry project.
Steam user steamcito_ar became interested in seeing how many games are planned for release in September 2025. He studied SteamDB data and it turned out to be the most "unloaded" month in recent years:
"7 out of 10 [developers] of games canceled their release, leaving 575 out of 1,713 projects. This monthly number of releases has not been observed since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 (559 releases)."
