Stardew Valley Creator Is No Longer a Lone Developer — ConcernedApe Responded to Player Concerns About Update 1.7 and Haunted Chocolatier
Support for the farm simulator continues, the creator has many ideas.
Recently, developer ConcernedApe announced update 1.7 for Stardew Valley. This caused concern among fans: he is now making a new game, Haunted Chocolatier; some suggested that working on 1.7 would greatly distract him from the project.
ConcernedApe released a special blog with answers to community questions and clarified that he does not work alone:
«I now have a team helping me with Stardew Valley updates (this has been the case since update 1.3). Unlike previous updates (where I was completely personally focused on content development), in 1.7 I am trying to take on more of a \"creative director\" role on the team so that I can (at least for now) focus on Haunted Chocolatier».
According to ConcernedApe, the work is now proceeding at a calm pace, the team has a lot of ideas and «everything is done at a high level».
However, he admits that he will still have to devote more time to Stardew Valley, some things require personal involvement. It is possible that version 1.7 will be released after Haunted Chocolatier — but this is not certain:
«Also, there are some aspects of content development, such as music, that I insist on doing myself. But with our \"no release date\" approach to update 1.7, it's unknown when that time will come. Maybe even after Haunted Chocolatier comes out. (although there are no guarantees)».
