New story content will soon appear in Atomic Heart.
Recently, Mundfish boss Robert Bagratuni spoke with Kinopoisk. The developers shared their vision for the future of the franchise and revealed some plans.

Bagratuni said:
«In DLC#4, we want to show the clash with HRAZ, to whose territory P-3 and the Twin are going to go at the end of "Trapped in Limbo". The final addition is one of the key priorities of the studio. It will complete the narrative of the first "Atomic", and the second part will move the story several years forward and continue the stories of beloved characters».
The developer mentioned that the upcoming final fourth addition will shed more light on the question of the "canonical ending" of Atomic Heart.
He also noted that the sequel (Atomic Heart 2) is being created in such a way that the game is accessible to newcomers. Nevertheless, those familiar with past events "will be able to appreciate many interconnections and references".
Bagratuni explained what Mundfish means by the word sequel:
«...We believe that a sequel should be a real next step in the development of the franchise — one that brings a lot of new and truly crazy things, so that the number 2 in the title is as justified as possible».
