An analytics company reported that PlayStation 5 has become the primary platform for Mafia: The Old Country, where the game sold almost twice as well as on PC, while sales on Xbox accounted for only about 10% of the total circulation.
The launch on Steam did not lead to a massive influx of players, and the project's performance drew sharp criticism. However, the game received a score of 74 on Metacritic — not outstanding, but an acceptable result that still kept some of the audience from buying.
According to Aliena Analytics, Mafia: The Old Country sold in the following volumes:
- PS5 — approximately 643,000 copies;
- Steam — 337,000 copies;
- Xbox — 117,000 copies.
PlayStation 5 accounts for more than half of all sales. The total circulation is estimated at approximately 1.2 million copies, which is not too much by the standards of the series, but the gap between consoles is impressive.
It is important to note that the data is based on third-party estimates and has not been confirmed by the developers or publisher. Until official statistics are available, the figures should be treated with caution.
