Hobby World Publishing House has announced the release of the board game "Mushrooms and Roots," designed for 1-4 players. Currently, its regular edition can be purchased in stores for 4990 rubles, the deluxe edition for 9991 rubles, and the "Whispers of the Forest" expansion for 790 rubles.
This project from Elizabeth Hargrave, the game designer of the well-known and popular board game "Wingspan," will immerse participants in a living ecosystem where every decision affects the growth of the forest and the fate of its inhabitants.
Gamers will have to interact with mushrooms and develop young trees to create a common forest. More precisely, they will need to choose connections with different mushrooms, obtain resources, and place seedlings in optimal locations.
Each turn is an opportunity to strengthen your position by developing the ecosystem. At the end of the game, which usually takes 60-90 minutes, the player who grows the most valuable set of seedlings with the best symbiotic connections wins.
The "Whispers of the Forest" expansion will introduce people to birds and insects hiding in coniferous branches, and will also add new goal cards and mushroom squares to the game.
The "Deluxe Edition" of the board game includes the basic version of "Mushrooms and Roots," the "Whispers of the Forest" expansion, and improved components: wooden figures, tokens, and boards instead of cardboard ones, more visual chemical element tokens, a guide to mushrooms, and boxes for convenient storage of components.
