The creator of Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol continues to give interviews. Recently, Glen Schofield, in a conversation with PC Gamer, recalled working on another franchise — Call of Duty.

As it turned out, the creator could have come to Russia, but was scared:

«I spent 30 days doing press conferences for Modern Warfare 3. I traveled all over the world, and my last stop was the UK. I was having dinner with journalists, and then I got a call.

They said: \"You have to go to Russia tomorrow and do some more work with the press.\" By that time, I was already very tired. I asked: \"Do you know who the enemies are in Modern Warfare 3?\" They said: \"Don't worry, you'll have a bodyguard with you.\" And I replied: \"That doesn't make me feel any better.\" So I got a little worried. And that's why I didn't go».

This case became one of the reasons why Glen's approach to development changed:

«[After the conversation] I went back to the journalists. We were sitting with them at dinner and I said: \"So, you know what, my next game won't have a country as an enemy. Because I want to come to these countries.\" I didn't know what I was going to do, but I said it out loud and thought: \"Yes, I'll do that, because I don't want to have that problem anymore.\" That's how \"PMC\" appeared. I started thinking about private military companies».
