It has been three years since the presentation of Kingdom Hearts IV in the form of a CGI trailer. But there is no cause for concern: Nomura's team is making progress in development, and deadlines are being met.
The same applies to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, the final chapter of the FF7R trilogy, which began in 2019. According to Nomura, the process is going smoothly, which reflects Square Enix's new strategy in game development and cross-platform releases.
Nomura said on the Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis stream:
"We are making great progress, but I can't say anything more yet. We have already decided when we will announce it, and we will stick to the schedule. So don't worry and wait. Kingdom Hearts 4 is also progressing according to plan, wait for information."
Square Enix does not disclose these games in its earnings reports and does not specify release dates. Nomura previously said that the Remake trilogy may span several generations of consoles, so the release of the third part may appear before the release of PlayStation 6.
