Nintendo's lawyers have another big win.

It recently became known about another achievement of Nintendo's lawyers. Recently, a court in the United States ruled in favor of the company.

A lawsuit was filed against Ryan Michael Daly, who worked under the trademark "Modded Hardware." He was reportedly selling modding chips; hacked Switch consoles, as well as pirated Nintendo games. It is noted that among his products were "MIG Switch" and "MIG Dumper," which allows you to copy cartridges to a PC.

Now Ryan must pay $2 million in compensation, and he is also subject to a lifetime ban on modding (he cannot engage in any activity aimed at circumventing copyright):

«This includes selling or storing modchips, flash cartridges, or hacked consoles, hosting or supporting relevant websites, and even investing in companies that may be involved in similar products. In addition, his website will be transferred to Nintendo's control, and all modding devices in his possession will be confiscated and destroyed.»
