What would The Last of Us look like if it had been released in the first half of the 90s? Independent developer DANEGUSTA has presented a demake of the Naughty Dog game, available for free.
In the parody version, the main roles are played by Eliana and Zhorel — characters clearly inspired by Ellie and Joel, although the author emphasizes that they are "completely fictional." The atmosphere is maintained in a retro style: a color palette and style characteristic of the Sega Mega Drive console are used.
The gameplay revolves around exploring an abandoned hospital. Eliana has to search for survival items, find Zhorel, and avoid encounters with the infected, who will have to be "fed lead" in case of danger. Everything is done in a humorous manner, and fans will find many references and ironic details.
