Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is preparing an unexpected update for players. Matt Scrons, Design Director at Treyarch, confirmed that the new installment will feature classic maps from Black Ops 2 that have never been updated before.
In a short video on social media, Scrons assured that the return of locations from 2012 is inevitable. He did not name specific maps, but the community is waiting for Yemen and Plaza, which have remained favorites among players for many years.
It is known that Black Ops 7 will feature Raid, Hijacked, and Express maps. But the studio promises something new as well — at least one map that has never received a remaster may appear at launch or in one of the updates.
Scrons also announced that there will be no jetpacks or wall running in multiplayer. Instead, an omnimovement system will be introduced, allowing players to perform up to three jumps through walls.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be released on November 14 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and will be available on Game Pass Ultimate.
