Pandora Box Publishing has announced that on September 12 at 12:00 Moscow time, pre-orders will start on the CrowdRepublic crowdfunding platform for the second edition of The One Ring role-playing game, which will once again transport gamers to the amazing fantasy world created by writer J. R. R. Tolkien.
The events of this project take place in 2965 of the Third Age - 20 years after The Hobbit, but before the start of The Lord of the Rings.
Unlike Adventures in Middle-earth based on the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons, this game has its own original system that conveys the atmosphere and spirit of Tolkien 100% (and uses d6 and d12).
In the second edition of The One Ring RPG, the rules have been improved and the design has been completely redesigned, and illustrations in the style of J. R. R. Tolkien's sketches have also appeared. The game describes in detail the Shire, Eriador and Moria, which were not touched upon in the first edition.
The board game has already received many awards and has been recognized as the best role-playing game in the Middle-earth universe, so avid Tolkienists from Russia will surely want to add such a "One Ring" to their collection.
