The pre-load date and download size for the racing game from Sega and Sonic Team have been revealed. The information comes from records in the PlayStation databases, as reported by the PlayStationSize account on X.
The game will take up a moderate amount of space on PS4 and PS5.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Download Size:
- PS4: 12.601 GB (version 1.00)
- PS5: 13.161 GB (version 01.000.000)
Pre-load Date:
- Deluxe Edition: September 20, 2025
- Standard Edition: September 23, 2025
Pre-loading includes the latest patch for everyone who ordered the digital version of the game. However, the update may be released closer to the early access on September 22 and the full launch on September 25. Owners of disc copies will most likely have to download the update separately. The size of the PS5 version is approximately the same as the version for PS4.
The embargo on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds reviews is expected closer to release. The exact time has not yet been specified.
The game will be released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S; the version for Nintendo Switch 2 will be released later.
