Videos have appeared on the Cycu1 channel comparing three versions of the game-the remake on Unreal Engine 5, the updated version from Master Collection Vol.1, and scenes from the pachinko machine. Despite being just a pachinko machine, the cutscenes shown there look good, and in terms of lighting, they even surpass the fresh remake in some moments.
Although the game faces technical limitations, such as a 60 frames per second limit on PC, it has achieved commercial success. Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater reached one million sales on its first day, including pre-orders.
According to the developers, the changes in the remake only highlight the excellent original. The fact that a project with such success has graphical flaws that are inferior to old machines seems surprising.
Perhaps Konami will fix the lighting in future patches.
