Ghost of Yotei is less than a month away from release, but Sucker Punch Productions had a reason to celebrate earlier. The upcoming release was not an event the team decided to celebrate particularly loudly.
Journalists have already received copies of the game, and reviews will appear a week before release. This move indicates that the developers are confident in the project. An additional advantage is that Ghost of Yotei has no strong competitors during its release on PS5.
Creative Director Nate Fox admitted in an interview with Minnmax that the team was relieved to hear about the GTA 6 delay from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026.
— Minnmax: When it became known that GTA 6 was delayed to 2026, did the whole studio open champagne?
— Nate Fox: We're still hungover. A months-long hangover. It was a beautiful day.
