Ironwood Studios hasn't abandoned Pacific Drive. More than a year after release, the game will receive its first story DLC.
Since February 2024, Pacific Drive has been winning the hearts of fans of survival and cars that need to be taken care of. For 18 months, the project received major free updates, but the creators didn't stop there. At the end of 2025, Whispers in the Woods will be released on PC and PlayStation 5, almost a third the size of the main game.
In the expansion, players will encounter a fanatical group obsessed with anomalies. A new storyline leads the hero and his trusty station wagon into a mysterious part of the Olympic Exclusion Zone forests, full of strange symbols, dolls, dangers, and secrets. Artifacts grant new effects, but increase the level of threat to the character and the car.
Whispers in the Woods will offer:
- A fully voiced campaign with new characters and 8–12 hours of story content on a new or existing save;
- New maps, intersections with unusual altars and resources, additional car customization elements;
- New gameplay: artifacts give powers and dangers, affecting the player and the world;
- New anomalies and strange behavior under the dark canopies of trees;
- New garages to support you on your trips;
- New route modifiers;
- Original music by Wilbert Roget II.
