AYN will only start shipping the Thor portable and foldable console with two screens in October 2025, but today the developers have published a new video dedicated to this device.
In the video, the team played various games on AYN Thor, and also showed the user interface, all kinds of programs and multitasking functions in action.
The console received four versions – Lite, Base, Pro and Max. The Lite version of the device has a Snapdragon 865 chip, Adreno 650@587MHz graphics processor, LPDDR4x@2133MHz RAM (8 GB), UFS3.1 internal memory (128 GB), active cooling, a 6000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, BT5.1, DisplayPort 1080p Alt Mode video output, Android 13 OS, USB 3.1 Type C, 3.5 mm audio jack, TF card slot.
The Base, Pro and Max variations inside have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Adreno 740@680MHz graphics processor, active cooling, LPDDR5x@4200MHz RAM (8GB | 12GB | 16GB), UFS4.0 internal memory (128GB | 256GB | 1TB), a 6000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 7 and BT5.3, USB 3.1 Type C, 3.5 mm audio jack, TF card slot, DisplayPort 4Kp60 Alt Mode video output and Android 13 OS.
Main screen specifications: 6-inch AMOLED display, resolution – 1080*1920, refresh rate – 120 Hz, brightness – 650 nits, contrast ratio – 100,000:1, color gamut – 152% sRGB. Lower screen specifications: 3.92-inch AMOLED display, resolution – 1080*1240, refresh rate – 60 Hz, brightness – 550 nits, contrast ratio – 100,000:1, color gamut – 150% sRGB.
Now AYN Thor with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip can be bought for $249 (20,854 rubles), with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and 8 GB + 128 GB – for $299 (25,041 rubles). A complete list of prices for the console can be found in the previous news.
