Nintendo's lawyers are coming with claims not only to modders, but also to some game developers.
Recently, new Nintendo patents have attracted the attention of video game fans. Such wording is used that, theoretically, claims can be made to many games on the market.
Publishing Director of Larian Studios, Michael Douse, expressed concern about Nintendo's patents, saying that "such patents are too often used unfairly."
Other developers fear that new games may fall victim to such specific patents, and companies will be able to monopolize game mechanics.
The authors of Palworld have already encountered Nintendo's lawyers - they had to change some gameplay mechanics.
