With a high degree of probability, PlayStation is preparing to showcase its future hits on PS5, as several sources confirm the holding of a PlayStation Showcase.
Players are waiting for a full-fledged event from Sony, where the company can finally demonstrate its largest projects for the console. Among the expected games are Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet — a new franchise with a large-scale space story.
The first leaks appeared several weeks ago and indicated the end of September as an approximate date for the show. Now the information has been confirmed by insider NateTheHate, who has repeatedly verified his sources in the industry. When asked on social networks, he replied briefly: «Sony will hold a presentation soon».
There are also reports from informants KAMI and Pyo5.
For the past six years, Sony has traditionally held either a State of Play or a PlayStation Showcase in September, and the tradition will be maintained in 2025. Earlier, journalist Jeff Grubb also reported on the upcoming show.
If the rumors are confirmed, the upcoming Showcase could become one of the main events for PS5 owners. Besides Wolverine, there is a possibility of demonstrating a new game by Housemarque — Saros, scheduled for release in 2026.
