The creators of Diablo 4 are preparing to release update 2.4.0 and launch a new season. Blizzard Entertainment traditionally publishes a full description of the patch in advance. After testing, it was decided to refine the Chaos Armor:

  • Chaos Armor now visually differs from regular unique items.
  • The probability of obtaining Chaos Armor for defeating Bartuc now increases as the Torment level rises. After testing on the PTR, the probability of obtaining Chaos Armor on Torment IV difficulty has been increased.
  • Chaos Armor received as a reward outside of dungeons is now awarded in addition to a unique item, rather than replacing it.

New types of Chaos Armor have been added in honor of the season's start:

  • Barbarian — "Ramaladni's Magnum Opus"
  • Druid — "Dolmen Stone"
  • Necromancer — "Greaves of the Empty Shrine"
  • Rogue — "Wordless Kiss"
  • Sorcerer — "Esu's Heirloom"
  • Spiritborn — "Sunbird's Adornment"

Some other changes:

Bosses in the Pits

  • The list of items received for defeating the Greater Bosses in the Pits is now divided between the three bosses. Defeating each of the Greater Bosses will award two items from the list.
  • The loot lists for the Greater Bosses Duriel, Andariel, and Herald of Hatred have been expanded and partially divided among themselves. The loot lists for the Lesser Bosses have also been slightly modified.
  • The Infernal Compass can no longer be obtained in Belial's Treasury.

Rewards and Loot

  • The overall drop rate of unique items has been increased at all difficulty levels.
  • Magic and rare items can no longer appear in rewards for completing secret quests on Torment difficulty.
  • Magic and rare items can no longer appear in rewards for completing side quests on Torment difficulty. Now, items of at least legendary quality are awarded for completing them.
  • The quality level of rewards in Helltide areas has been increased on Torment difficulty.
