Kamiya and his business partner, Kento Koyama, noted that the studio's income is not yet sufficient, so the project is financed by their own funds. At the same time, 80% of the team are experienced specialists who receive decent salaries, which directly affects the budget. But progress is fast. The warm atmosphere inside the studio has turned the work on Okami 2 into a pleasure.
Capcom supports the project, but there is no financial participation in CLOVERS. Thanks to the collaboration, the studio was able to open offices in Osaka and Tokyo and hire new developers. Recruitment is mainly done through recommendations.
In the future, CLOVERS does not rule out cooperation with other publishers if the success of Okami 2 gives rise to new ideas.
According to the developers, the studio's goal is to create games that exceed players' expectations. For Kamiya, working on a direct sequel to his own project has become an inspiring challenge, and he called the team's attitude optimistic.
