Ubisoft's recently closed game-service received a second life thanks to a fan project The Crew Unlimited. This isn't the only project of its kind.
Some players recalled a modification announced by Uncode at the end of last year. He showed a "proof of concept" for an offline mode for Need for Speed 2015, which, like The Crew, is tied to online services, meaning there is a risk of losing access after Electronic Arts shuts down the servers.
It is not yet clear when this modification might be released.
