The post sparked a wave of criticism, and the situation reached both Sony and the studio's management. Now Sucker Punch has issued an official statement.
In an interview with Game File, studio co-founder Brian Fleming confirmed that the circumstances of the dismissal are true.
"Drew no longer works for us. I think we, as a studio, are united in the opinion that glorifying or diminishing anyone's murder is a violation for us, and we condemn it without any ambiguous wording. This is our studio, and this is our position."
A Sony representative, who was also present during the conversation, declined to answer questions. Harrison herself previously stated that she would not change her decision and would repeat it "a hundred times stronger."
