As part of the Metal Gear Production Hotline presentation, the company conducted a survey asking which project in the series fans would like to see updated.
The list included both early installments and more recent ones. There was also the option to leave your own suggestion in an open field. However, some notable games were missing — Metal Gear Rising and Metal Gear Survive were not included.
The survey appeared shortly after the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which took place in late August 2025. It seems the publisher's task is to find out whether players want a return to the classic chapters of the franchise or are more looking forward to remakes of recent installments.
Everything indicates that the survey is not just a formality: Konami is clearly preparing the ground for new remakes and intends to transfer old games in the series to modern platforms.
