In 2025, the Xbox Game Pass library has expanded significantly, and subscribers have several major releases ahead. Microsoft has invested record funds in the development of the service.
Since the beginning of the year, players have gained access to exciting new releases. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hollow Knight: Silksong have been added to the catalog, but the list is not limited to these.
In an interview, the head of the ID@Xbox program, Chris Charla, emphasized: "this year has been the largest investment in Game Pass in history."
According to a company representative, the Xbox team has signed over 150 new agreements with partners, which will significantly expand the game lineup.
Most studios that have already added their projects to Game Pass have expressed their willingness to include future releases in the subscription as well. As a result, Microsoft has made deals with more than 150 companies, and the team considers hundreds of future projects each year.
For comparison: in 2024, about 50 studios formalized cooperation for the first time. In 2025, the pace has increased.
ID@Xbox usually deals with independent games, but this year Microsoft is directing huge resources into AAA projects. Despite disputes about the economics of the subscription, the largest investments confirm: Xbox Game Pass remains a key direction of the corporation's strategy.
