Support for RTS has not been discontinued, and sometimes players have reason to worry.
Recently, an update for StarCraft 2 was presented on the PTR server. Fans were very surprised, as messages began to arrive that this patch was made by Blizzard, and not by the "council of balancers", i.e. the developers returned to support the project.
However, the joy ended there, as players familiarized themselves with the first version of the patch and some began to call it "crazy" and "the worst in recent years."
For example, questions arose about the new version of the "psionic storm": although the duration was increased (from 2.86 to 8.58), the damage was reduced from 10 to 5 per tick; experienced players can easily move units away, so this version of the storm did not actually pose a danger to them.
After that, the developers surprised the fans again - the StarCraft 2 team soon expanded the patch and included many additional changes.
In the description they are highlighted in blue. The psionic storm has been strengthened: it will last about 5 seconds instead of 3; the damage reduction remained, but the radius of destruction was increased and the damage will be dealt more smoothly (in small "chunks"). The updated patch also includes various bug fixes and balance tweaks for units, cooldowns, ability durations, costs, etc.
