Recently, Baldur's Gate 3 received its 34th hotfix, along with full Steam Deck support. Now the game has a separate build for the Valve device.
Larian Studios boss Sven Vincke said that this version of Baldur’s Gate 3 appeared thanks to the enthusiasm of one of the developers — he started working on his own, and then convinced the others to support the idea:
«The story of how this happened is really full of real passion. The development of the Steam Deck version was initiated by one engineer who really wanted the game to run more smoothly on the Steam Deck, and so he started working on it in his free time.
When we tried it, everyone was surprised at how well it worked, and so it didn’t take long to convince us to support the idea and release it.
It is this pure passion for their work that makes me fall in love with my developers again and again. I consider myself very lucky to have people like him on my team. Give it a try».
