Russia decided to promote phygital sports.
Recently, Mash reported on plans to introduce "FIFA, Counter-Strike, and Dota 2" into the physical education program.
The discipline is called phygital sports (esports + real sports):
«They plan to introduce it into the school physical education program in the near future — initially in test cities, and then depending on how it goes. It will be a match in one of the three games listed above + running, pull-ups, and other physical development».
Deputy Anton Gorelkin shared his opinion — he believes that Russian games should be offered to schoolchildren, not foreign ones:
«Diluting the school program with phygital is not the worst idea, but instead of FIFA, Counter-Strike, and Dota 2, in my opinion, there should be our games: Standoff 2, World of Tanks, and Warface».
