After three years in early access and two delays, Farthest Frontier is finally ready for its full premiere. The creators of Grim Dawn from Crate Entertainment have announced that version 1.0 will be released on October 23, 2025.
The developers noted that the successful early access, where the strategy game sold over 1.2 million copies, allowed them to significantly expand the project. The release will feature major innovations: an updated development tree with 142 unlockable items, a reworked monument mechanic, dozens of new buildings, bridges, a redesigned political system, and improved animations. According to the studio, version 1.0 will not only be the completion of Early Access, but also the basis for future updates.
Simultaneously with the release, the price will increase from $29.99 to $34.99 in the US. For those planning to purchase, there is a last chance to get the game cheaper: Farthest Frontier is participating in the Steam Autumn Sale, which starts on September 29.
The medieval setting strategy game has already gained recognition from players. It has 92% positive reviews on Steam.
