Ghost of Yotei offers a quality mode (4K/30fps), a performance mode (60fps at 1080p on PS5 and 1440p on PS5 Pro), and two ray tracing presets — Raytracing (30fps at 1440p on PS5 and 1728p on PS5 Pro) and Raytracing Pro (1080p/60fps with PSSR), available only on PS5 Pro.
Despite the compromises with ray tracing (noise may appear on fabrics and small details in RT Pro mode), the effect is noticeable on both PS5 and PS5 Pro, especially with global ray tracing at 60fps on the powerful console. The quality mode locks at 30 fps, the performance mode at 60 fps, although without the day-one update, fps could drop to 50, which the patch fixes.
Digital Foundry specifically notes the high-quality HDR implementation, the attention to small details even in close-ups, improved animations, weather effects, and creative solutions borrowed from the previous game.
