The geography of ETS 2 is gradually expanding. There will be an opportunity to see various attractions.
The creators of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 truck driver simulator continue to introduce the community to upcoming content. Once again, the Nordic Horizons northern expansion is in the spotlight.
This time, SCS Software offers a look at the 113-year-old wooden church in Kiruna. They learned that it had been relocated because a mine was expanding nearby:
«After months of preparation and testing, the church was moved in August by the Dutch logistics company Mammoet. In total, it traveled about five kilometers on steel beams carried by two 28-axle self-propelled modular transporters over two days. The move was a real engineering feat, requiring even the preliminary widening of roads. Thanks to careful planning, the church successfully reached its new location.»
This event inspired the ETS 2 developers, and they decided to reflect it in the game: virtual drivers will be able to see the church (they won't be allowed to participate in the relocation).
