Recently, the author of the YouTube channel Mzkshow was sent a video: a user was playing Counter-Strike 2 in Premier mode, got nervous after death and hit the keyboard — soon he received a VAC ban.
The blogger became interested in this story and decided to conduct an experiment. In the usual competitive mode, after each death, Mzkshow began to hit the keyboard — the system kicked him, but there was no VAC ban. A series of subsequent experiments also did not lead to blocking, he was simply kicked out of the game.
Mzkshow continued the investigation and requested the player's config, in which he found an old (already fixed) bind for teleportation.
He suggested that during the strike, the player touched this bind and the system reacted, but for several days of experiments, he was still simply kicked. However, in the end, Mzkshow still managed to get a VAC ban during a random game with this cfg.
It turns out that it is possible to get punished for hitting the keyboard while playing Counter-Strike 2, but for the "average" player, blocking is unlikely and everything should be limited to just kicking out of the game.
