Recently, modders reminded about the Team Fortress 2 Classic project. Valve previously approved its launch on Steam.
Before the full release, the developers plan to conduct testing: they intend to do this during the Steam Next Fest demo festival (October 13 - 27).
After the start of the festival, it will be possible to download the open beta version of Team Fortress 2 Classic from the Steam store page — it is available at the following link.
TF 2 Classic is a modification for Valve's team-based shooter that "reimagines its early period of existence immediately after release." Modders propose using weapons removed during development, as well as adding cut features and other content.
