The wait for the release of the ambitious space sim has been delayed for a long time.
The developers of Star Citizen also have another project — the Squadron 42 campaign, which is also not being developed very quickly. Some believe that they should not have spent resources on this.
YouTube channel author Camural recently released a video dedicated to Squadron 42, and former Cloud Imperium Games developer Robert Peterson shared his thoughts:
«I am a former developer from the Frankfurt studio. I can say that in the British studio they spent about as much money as in the Frankfurt one. CIG has spent millions of sponsorship money on all sorts of nonsense.
According to Robert, most of the "gameplay" of Squadron 42 consists of "walking and talking" scenes, where the player hardly interacts with the game, essentially following characters played by actors such as Mark Hamill:
«Squadron 42 will be a wonderful sight, but it will undoubtedly be one of the worst "games" ever conceived... not to mention created».
