According to The Game Business, interest in Battlefield 6 is colossal. A study by Ampere Analysis showed that 1.7 million copies were pre-ordered on Steam alone, and forecasts suggest that the number of copies sold could reach 5 million in the first week of sales.
Interest in the game was evident earlier as well — according to Newzoo estimates, 25 million users played the beta version, while Ampere recorded 22 million. An important indicator: the record for the simultaneous number of players was 10.4 million — twice as many as in the Battlefield 2042 beta tests, where it reached 5.1 million.
The data shows that EA and DICE are on their way to returning the series to its former glory. More and more players believe that Battlefield may take a leading position in the future if Call of Duty faces an identity crisis.
