Unity developers recommend that users update their software due to a security vulnerability found in Unity versions 2017.1 and later. It is relevant not only for Windows, but also for Android, Linux, macOS.
Some developers have already publicly announced the release of fixes, for example, the authors of the survival game V Rising:
«We have already fixed the issue on client computers and are now working on fixing it on the server client.
We strongly recommend that you update your game and dedicated server client as soon as they become available, and be very careful about any mods you download until you are sure they are safe».
