The Midnight expansion will add personal space decoration to the game, like in other MMOs. During the Midnight Deep Dive presentation, Blizzard confirmed that the feature will be available in early access before the end of the year.
Personalization enthusiasts in MMORPGs will have a reason to return to WoW. Previously, the lack of this mechanic made the game less attractive compared to Final Fantasy 14 or The Elder Scrolls Online. The developers stated that the new system will become the foundation of the game and will have its own "roadmap."
World of Warcraft: Midnight will be released in 2026, and the exact date is still unknown. However, players with pre-orders will be able to decorate their shelter starting December 3rd, along with a set of starter decorations. In practice, there will be two shelters: one for the Horde and one for the Alliance.
Decorations can be obtained from vendors, through events and achievements, or created independently. Those who have not pre-ordered will also be able to decorate their homes after the official release.
The game will feature thematic elements for Blood Elves and Night Elves, Humans and Orcs. Both the interior and exterior of the shelter can be decorated. Objects can be rotated, resized, and customized using advanced mode.
Players will be able to share their results: other users' homes will be available for visiting within neighborhoods, and the developers have prepared additional activities inside the shelters.
