In 2024, it seemed that Blue Protocol was destined for oblivion. Bandai Namco decided to halt the development of the multiplayer RPG. But the project was fortunate—it was saved by the Chinese giant Tencent, who saw its potential.
The company bought the rights and, after several months of work, made many changes, preparing the game for release.
Blue Protocol: Star Resonance will officially be released on October 9, 2025. The game will be available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and on smartphones via iOS and Android. The game will be distributed under a free-to-play model.
Blue Protocol is positioned as an alternative to Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves. The advantage of Blue Protocol over them lies primarily in its MMORPG gameplay. While these games offer only a weakly developed cooperative mode, Blue Protocol offers an MMORPG environment.
The developers have confirmed that the project supports cross-platform progress, allowing players to seamlessly switch from the PC to the mobile version and back.
