Another 4X game failed to defeat the famous franchise and stay on the market.
Last year, Millennia was released on PC in Steam. This is a global 4X strategy game in the spirit of Sid Meier’s Civilization, in which "over 10,000 years, your country will go from the dawn of humanity to the cosmic distances."
The developer was C Prompt Games, and the release was handled by Paradox Interactive.
Millennia managed to attract some attention, but the game never became a hit: the peak online in Steam was at the level of 8 thousand players, and the rating was 68% ("mixed" reviews).
In early October 2025, the termination of support for Millennia was announced. The last patch for the game was released
